Application Software:

Application software is a set of one or more program which solves a specific problem or does a specific target.
For example; pay roll processing software examination result processing software, railway station, airline, companies, factory, subject jobs those are assigned jobs, computers games, are having application software. These usage are described as application software. Similarly, a program written by a scientist to solve a research problem is also application software. Programs included in an application software packages are called application programs and programmers who prepare applications software are referred to as application programmers .

These days, millions of application software packages are available in market for a huge capacity of application software. These ranges from simple application such as word processing are famous. Inventory managements preparation of tax returns banking, hospital,  units, administrations, insurance publishing, to complex scientific and engineering application such as weather forecasting. space shuttle launching oil and natural gas exploration design of complex structures like craftsmanship, brights, sky-rise, outbuildings etc. With so many kinds available but it is not possible to categorize at this moment and to cover them here. some commonly known application software are defined as under with detail:

1. Word-processing software: Word processing software enables us to make use of a computer for creating, editing viewing, formatting, storing, retrieving and printing documents written material such as letters, reports book, etc.
2. Spreadsheet software: Spreadsheet software is numeric data analysis tool that allows us to create a kind of computerized ledger. A manual ledger is a book having rows and columns that accountants use for keeping a record of financial transactions and for preparing financial statements. 
3. Database software: A database is a collection of related data stored and tread as a unit for information retrieval purposes. A database software is a set of programs that enable us to create a database maintain it  for adding deleting and updation etc or to organize its data in desired fashion for exampling sort its record alphabetically name wise, bigger or smaller etc and selectively retrieve useful information from it. For example quires such as get the telephone number of the person named kashyp Rana from the address database or get the names of all currently enrolled students whose birthdays fall today from the student database handled easily. 
4. Graphic Software: Graphic software enables us to use a computer system for creating editing, viewing storing , retrieving and printing of designed, drawing, pictures graphs, etc. 
5. Personal assistance software: Personal software allows us to use personal computers for storage and retrieval of our personal data or information as well as planning and management of out schedules, contracts, fiances, and inventory of important items or a office work etc.
6. Education and entertainment software: Education software teaches us about our education elements to lead us book reader like pdf reader etc as well as entertainment software use tool for computer videos, audio, etc.
